Clans
Found or join a clan to band together under a shared tag shown beside your name. Clans have their own private Clan chat channel, per-region storehouses, clan buildings like the shrine, leader announcements, and per-member permissions — the full system has its own guide. Permissions also cover a Forum right — letting trusted members manage the clan's forum boards and moderate its posts (see Forum below).
Chat
Five channels carry talk: World (everyone), Trade (buying and selling), Help (questions), Clan (your clan only), and private Whispers. Start a whisper by clicking a name, or type Name@ your message (and @@ to reply to your last partner). Each channel has its own colour. If you prefer one channel at a time, turn on Tabbed chat in Settings → Display — the channel you're on is remembered across refreshes.
Send a private message to any player by name — it waits in their inbox whether or not they're online, and a badge tells you when you have unread mail. Each side keeps or deletes its own copy.
Friends & ignoring
Add any player to your friends list to see at a glance when they're online — it's a personal watch-list, so adding someone doesn't notify them or require their approval. Ignoring a player is the opposite: their public chat disappears from your stream, and their whispers, trade offers, and clan invites are blocked before they ever reach you. Ignoring someone also removes them from your friends list.
Forum
For longer discussion than chat allows, the forum has threaded boards — post a thread, reply to others, and edit or delete your own posts. Staff can pin, lock, and moderate. Forum announcements can deep-link into a thread straight from the chat stream.
Your clan gets its own private forum section, listed under the public boards and visible only to members. It starts empty — a member with the clan Forum permission builds out the boards and can moderate anyone's posts. New threads and replies there announce into clan chat instead of the world.
