v1.6.4 — Halls and Hearths

currentJuly 29, 2026
  • Three new clan buildings, raised at a region's storehouse and funded in pieces like the shrine. A Hearth is a range to cook at, with a chance the fire spares its log, and a fire to rest by that restores your health once an hour. An Apothecary is a brewing bench, with a chance to keep the vial and a chance to keep the herb. A Chapterhouse makes room for five more clan members, and each region's adds its own seats.
  • Storehouse requests work for every rarity. Asking for a rare stack now names that stack, so it can actually be approved — and each rarity is its own choice in the list.
  • Muted players can see how long is left, in the chat box and the moment a moderator changes it.
  • The Thieves Guild no longer marks brand-new players. The limit it advertised was below the level everyone starts at, so it excluded nobody.
  • The Houses panel lists your towns in alphabetical order.
  • Searching the manual drops its results below the search box instead of off the top of the screen.
  • The auction house columns line up with their headings, and the table no longer strands an item's name far from its price.

v1.6.3 — Home Ground

July 29, 2026
  • Houses in Sundermere and Merrowfen are built and expanded with their own region's planks — ash and blackthorn — as clan storehouses there already were. Houses you have already built stand as they are.
  • An expansion still takes any higher-tier plank in place of the one your region calls for, spending your plainest first.
  • The auction house listings fit the window again: a long item name no longer squeezes the other columns off the screen.

v1.6.2 — Set Straight

July 28, 2026
  • Combat levels now count experience awarded by quests — some characters were showing a lower level than they had earned.
  • The storehouse, House and shrine panels close when you arrive somewhere new. Using one while travelling no longer leaves it stuck over the screen.
  • The Thieves Guild line on Activities shows the time until your next mark, wherever you are standing.
  • The highscores window is wider on desktop, so clan names fit.
  • The manual's Luck page says which actions Luck affects — gathering only — and lists Tribute among its sources.

v1.6.1 — Weight and See

July 27, 2026
  • A worn Backpack now counts towards what you can carry in a trade. Trading measured you against your base capacity, not your real one.
  • The chat channel dropdown is readable again on Chrome. Every dropdown now draws its list on a solid dark background.
  • The profile fits its card on a wide screen: Skills beside the experience graph, Activities and Keepsakes full width below.

v1.6.0 — Plain Sight

July 27, 2026
  • The battle screen stays up when a fight ends, until you leave it. It used to close the moment the last enemy fell, taking the combat log — and whatever dropped — with it.
  • The trading window has been rebuilt: a one-line summary of each offer ("4 items · 98,000 gold"), inspectable items on both sides, gold with separators, whole stacks added in one click, and a filter for a big pack. It now says when either side changes their offer after an acceptance.
  • Clan invitations survive a refresh, show how long is left, and say why if they can't be accepted. A reload or a brief disconnect used to destroy an invitation the game still considered valid.
  • Trade Contracts, Bounties and the Thieves Guild share one Activities panel, each collapsible and each keeping its progress visible. Bounties has left the action bar.
  • A readability pass: higher text contrast, larger tap targets, and one consistent look for buttons, inputs and dropdowns. The auction house and the highscores board are usable on a phone.
  • Tapping the quantity box on an item no longer closes it.
  • Chat no longer shows unread dots on every tab at login, and connecting loads the last 12 hours instead of everything.
  • Your mailbox shows the subject line, and every date and time in the game reads in game time rather than your computer's.
  • Keepsakes: the highscore board fills in as people earn them, categories are grouped, and what you have sorts to the top of each category.
  • The experience graph on your profile reads exact per-day gains on hover, tap or arrow key. The profile widens to two columns on a large screen and shows your total level.
  • Effect timers on stacked spells count down as each cast lapses, instead of holding the total and then dropping all at once.
  • Levelling a combat skill announces it like any other. The House Withdraw button no longer gets pushed off the edge by a large balance, clan permissions say what they allow, and the Clan Storage tab shows a dot when requests need attention.
  • Bosses no longer turn up as the monster of a random invasion.
  • Faith boons above your Piety are hidden in combat and at the shrine, like spells.
  • The manual has been rebuilt: a sidebar that knows where you are, reference data as tables, boss pages, a paged changelog, and pages that no longer drag sideways on a phone.

v1.5.1 — Small Corrections

July 26, 2026
  • Fixed an issue with Spellbook mana regen.
  • Effect timers now count down in seconds once they're under a minute. They used to show the same value for the whole last minute and then vanish, so a spell with 20 seconds left looked no different from one with 59.
  • Carry weight is now freed when a Spellbook or a lockpick breaks, or a Bounty Scroll is used. Your pack could report itself fuller than it really was, which showed up as hitting a full pack sooner than expected.

v1.5.0 — The Open Door

July 26, 2026
  • Guests can now play without an account. One click on the register screen starts you in the world with an assigned name like Wanderer-4821 — no email, no password. You keep everything if you sign up later: same character, same progress, nothing to transfer. A guest can gather, craft, cook, fight, quest, travel, build, pray, buy from shops and read chat, but can't trade, use the auction house, sell to shops, join a clan, send chat, or buy anything premium. Progress stops at character level 10, and an unused guest is removed after 30 days.
  • Your health and mana bars now keep the server's own timing instead of restarting the clock every time an update arrives. They could run up to a full five-minute interval behind, which is why mana sometimes wouldn't reflect until you refreshed, and why damage from an earlier fight seemed to land late.
  • Being refused a spell for want of mana now corrects the bar in the same moment, so a refusal reads as "you don't have enough" instead of looking like mana vanished. Nothing was ever being charged for a failed cast.
  • A Spellbook now wears as it channels — one roll per mana-regen tick that actually restored mana — instead of on every gather, craft and blow taken. That takes it from roughly 42 minutes of fighting to around 50 hours of regen-active play. Potions never wear it, and time spent at full mana costs it nothing.
  • Arrows and bolts no longer roll rarity — a bow already decides ranged damage, and a roll only split your quiver into stacks that never merged. Existing split stacks have been flattened back together.
  • The quest board now lists only quests you can actually take, and collapses. Quests you're not yet eligible for are counted in one line rather than filling the screen with cards you can't use.
  • Tapping the quantity box on an item no longer closes it on iPad.
  • Bosses are no longer handed out as bounty targets.

v1.4.0 — Things Worth Keeping

July 25, 2026
  • Keepsakes — a collection log of every rare thing you've ever obtained. The item doesn't have to still be in your pack; sell it, lose it, wear it out, and the entry stays. Find your log on your own profile, and there's a highscore board for distinct entries. Only things you earn yourself count — buying one gives you the item, not the entry.
  • Skilling pets. Woodcutting, Mining, Fishing, Farming, Thieving, Smithing, Cooking, Construction, Crafting and Brewing each have a companion that can turn up while you work. The chance rides on the experience you earn, and it is a very long chase. They're purely cosmetic — nobody gets stronger for being lucky.
  • The first two bosses. Bittershell, a giant crab wrecking the old weir at Weirsend — 250 health, hits softly, weak to puncture. Tailknot, a rat king under the quarry at Greyledge — 200 health, bites harder, weak to slash, and costs 1 Rope to reach each time. Both drop their own pet, their own weapon, and materials for gear you can craft in Aldermoor. They have their own card at their location and never repeat automatically: losing still costs your backpack.
  • Combat now stops on its own when your last weapon breaks and you have no spare, at the end of that fight, instead of leaving you swinging bare-handed. Faith boons you haven't unlocked are hidden until you do, like spells.
  • You can hand back a housing contract you hold on someone else's House, from the town it's in — no more asking each owner to revoke it for you.
  • Approving a clan storehouse or gold request is now limited to clan admins. Members with storage permission can still take what they need themselves.
  • Highscores are grouped: Skills, Activities, Bosses and Misc each get their own section in the board picker, and every activity board is all-time.
  • A comprehensive manual rebuild. The sections are grouped by what you're doing — Combat, Skills, World, Activities, Economy — and combat, death, durability, rarity and making a living each have their own page. New pages for Bosses and Keepsakes. Manual links pasted in chat open in the manual again instead of as a bare web address.
  • Your Whispers tab is remembered across a refresh.

v1.3.5 — Room to Talk

July 24, 2026
  • Tabbed chat now keeps each channel's own history. When you connect, every tab loads its own recent messages, so a busy channel can no longer leave the quieter ones looking empty. And "History" now shows just the tab you're on — World, Trade, Help, Clan, or your own Whispers.
  • Food in combat is now sorted by how much it heals, most first, so your strongest bite is always at the front.
  • Copying a chat line now keeps the spaces between the time, name, and message — and you can select a username without setting off its menu.
  • Furniture in the further regions costs more to build: Sundermere pieces now take double the gold and materials, and Merrowfen pieces take triple the materials and ten times the gold. Aldermoor is unchanged.
  • The rules now spell out one account per player.

v1.3.4 — In Good Form

July 24, 2026
  • Forum posts now support basic markdown: **bold**, *italic*, `code`, ~~strikethrough~~, headings, bullet and numbered lists, > quotes, code blocks, and [links](url). The composer has a Preview button. Images aren't supported.
  • Chat can be minimised — click the Chat bar to collapse it to a single line and give the screen back to the game. It stays collapsed until you reopen it, and shows a count of anything you missed.
  • You can abandon a trade contract you've already accepted. It costs one of your daily declines and rerolls the slot, the same as declining an offer — so you're no longer stuck with a commission you can't finish.
  • The "they're offline" note after whispering someone now stays in your log where you left it, and sits with your whispers instead of in World chat.
  • The clan storehouse now shows Requests above the stored items, so members can find where to ask and clan officers can see pending requests without scrolling to the bottom.
  • Opening the Rules, Terms, or Privacy pages from the manual and coming back no longer boots a second copy of the game and disconnects the tab you were playing in.
