Handbook

Welcome to Drenaslia

Drenaslia is a world of skills: everything you do — mining, fishing, smithing, fighting, praying — takes real time, grants experience, and feeds someone else's craft. This manual is generated from the same data the server plays by, so every number in it is exact.

Actions & timers

Every action runs on a timer. Out-levelling an action's requirement speeds it up, tools and equipment shave flat seconds off, and no action ever drops below 20 seconds. Success bonuses raise the chance a cycle pays out; Yield bonuses give a chance of double output (capped at +100%). Timed effects stack: every potion you drink and every Haste you cast is its own entry with its own clock, and their bonuses add up.

Levels & XP

Every skill shares one steep curve: each level costs far more experience than the last, so early levels fly by and the high ones are a long-haul commitment — and there is no level cap. Your overall character level rises with the total XP you earn across every skill, and it drives your carry capacity and combat level.

Making a living

NPC shops buy low and sell high — they exist to set a floor, not to make you rich. The real market is other players, through face-to-face trades and the auction house, where a 5% cut of every completed sale is destroyed rather than paid out — that is what keeps gold scarce and prices meaningful over time.

In each town that offers one you can build a House — materials plus a gold cost, paid per town — which stores items and banks gold. Anything in a House is safe from death, and a clan can also found a shared storehouse per region.

Your pack has a weight limit that grows with your character level. Heavy hauls mean more trips, so what you choose to carry is a real decision — especially anywhere a death would cost you the lot.

Where to go next

  • How combat works — styles, the five axes, and finding a monster's weak one
  • Death & risk — what a loss costs, and what is always safe
  • Regions & Atlas — the three regions, how to reach them, and every place to stand
  • All skills — every skill, what it does, and where to train it
