Thieving
Pickpocket and pry for gold and fenceable trinkets — stolen goods can be sold to NPC shops but never traded to players. A failed attempt gets you spotted: lay low before stealing again. From Thieving 15, the Thieves Guild in Wyckmouth assigns marks — real players, guild-chosen, never your own pick — for gold, XP, and Thieves' Marks; fail and you'll sit a spell in jail. Carried gold can be stolen; gold banked at your House never can.

Success is the base chance at the required level — it climbs 1% per level above the requirement, plus tools, gear, and drinks. 100% never fails.
