The Ossuary Warden

The Ossuary Warden is the boss of the Gravenholt dungeon. Its door opens once the run's key has turned up and the party stands on its hex; the door is mined down, then it fights.

How It Fights

The door. It is priced by the party alone: 27 hitpoints for every member, whatever their levels.

It yields only to pickaxe swings (a Bronze Pickaxe hits 0 to 1, a Bloodwright Pickaxe 0 to 7), one every 10s. Without the tool worn every swing misses, and the door pays 4 Mining XP a point.

That swing can be shortened to 8s permanently, one second at a time, with the two cadence unlocks sold for Lodestones at the Lodestone Hall.

The fight. Once the door is down it turns on the room, and its pool scales with the party's combat levels. It defends crush worst, so a weapon of that kind lands hardest. Dying to it is the ordinary death, and it puts you out of the run.

The chest. When it falls, everyone who fought it and is still inside presses Loot the chest: 3 picks from the site's tables and the tier's 10 Sigils, both scaled by the share of chambers cleared and by 1.25 on a full clear.

Your luck and Fortune count there. Its keepsakes below are rolled once for each looter, and the kill scores 1 Dungeoneer point. The rules of dungeons
